Now is the time to embark on a captivating journey through the Alboran and Balearic Islands, traversing the enchanting Mediterranean Sea aboard our beautiful frigate. This scenic passage spans 10 days, covering approximately 700 nautical miles. Throughout this voyage, you’ll have the opportunity to master knot tying, sail handling, the fundamentals of navigation, and the unique art of standing at the helm, following the plotted course.

Our route leads us back to the familiar Port-de-Bouc, a charming port town on the edge of salt lakes, not far from Marseille. Nature enthusiasts will delight in the various hiking trails winding through local reserves and lakes. A short hour-and-a-half walk leads to the cozy seaside town of Martigues, earning the moniker “Venice of Provence” with its numerous canals, bridges, and quays, exuding a delightful southern charm. Explore narrow picturesque streets, savor the local signature dish “bottarga,” and immerse yourself in the French spirit of the Mediterranean.

Should you crave the hustle of streets, the grandeur of cathedrals, and the vibrancy of city life after a week at sea, Marseille is just a 40-minute journey away. As the second most populous major port city in France, Marseille boasts ancient fortresses, famous azure bays, and numerous museums. The Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations, in particular, deserves special attention.

Accommodation and Amenities

You can sleep in a hammock, just like sailors did three centuries ago, or opt for a bunk. Onshore, as at sea, we provide four meals a day. Life on board is divided into watches, which you will participate in throughout your stay.
