The frigate Shtandart is a precise replica of an 18th-century ship, and you have a unique opportunity to set sail on this authentic wooden tall ship and travel from La Rochelle to Caen.

Every participant becomes part of the crew: together we hoist the sails, stand watch, keep course, and learn the basics of sailing maneuvers. On this journey, you’ll learn how to handle a real tall ship, navigate by compass, understand how maritime navigation works, and how the crew works together on board.

No prior experience is required — all training takes place during the voyage. The most important thing is a love for the sea and adventure! Accommodation and Amenities:

You can either choose to sleep in a hammock, just like sailors did three centuries ago, or opt for a bunk. Both at sea and onshore, we provide four meals a day. Life on board is divided into watches, in which you will actively participate throughout your stay.
