The stopover in Sète is a grand Maritime Traditions Festival on the shores of the Mediterranean. Organized once every two years, it gathers around a hundred boats and nearly 300,000 visitors. From March 26 to April 1, the heart of the city will come alive with various parades, sea shanties, and thematic villages. You can visit replicas of historical sailboats, numerous fishing boats, luxury sailboats, Latin sails, as well as barges and traditional rowing boats.
On Wednesday, March 27, a full-scale naval battle will unfold before the public. By becoming a member of the crew of Shtandart – a replica of the 18th-century frigate, you will have the opportunity to fire shots with real cannons and feel like a fearless corsair! Join us and fulfill your childhood dream! You can stay on board throughout the festival, experience the life of sailors in the time of Tsar Peter the Great, climb the mast to admire the view of the city, and discover the internal side of the festival – get to know other crews, visit the sailboats privately, and participate in family dinners seasoned with unusual stories and washed down with the best rum.
