After leaving Bodrum, the route follows the northern coast of the Bodrum Peninsula before crossing the Gulf of Gökova.

Overnight anchorage at Akbük Bay.

What to visit

If there is an opportunity to take a taxi (about 20 km), you can visit the Temple of Apollo at Didyma, one of the largest temples of the ancient world, as well as the ancient Sacred Way connecting Didyma with Miletus.

Day 2 — July 19

Akbük Bay — Kuşadası
40 nautical miles · approximately 13 hours

The passage follows the coastline of the Dilek Peninsula National Park.

Overnight at anchor.

Main excursion: Ephesus (approximately 20 km by taxi or transfer).

Ephesus is one of the best-preserved cities of the ancient world, featuring the Library of Celsus, the Great Theatre, marble streets, the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Day 3 — July 20

Kuşadası — Sığacık (ancient Teos)

Overnight anchorage at Sığacık Bay.

What to visit

Sığacık is a charming fishing town enclosed within an old Ottoman fortress. Nearby lie the ruins of ancient Teos, one of the twelve cities of the Ionian League, renowned for its Temple of Dionysus and ancient theatre.

Day 4 — July 21

Sığacık — Çeşme

Overnight at Çeşme Bay.

This is one of the most beautiful stretches of the Turkish coast.

Recommended visits: Alaçatı, famous for its stone houses and traditional windmills, Çeşme Castle.
