Happy Birthday, Shtandart!

On September 4, 1999, Shtandart touched the water for the very first time.

Her launch became a truly memorable occasion: tens of thousands of people gathered along the shore to witness that moment with their own eyes.

But Shtandart’s story began long before that day. The frigate was built by a large team of volunteers, who gave their time, energy, skills, and enthusiasm to make this extraordinary project a reality.

And when Shtandart was finally ready to sail, the volunteers became the ship’s very first crew.

Many years have passed since then. Today, Shtandart is much more than just a ship. It is an entire world and a living story created by people. By those who built the frigate, repaired and preserved her, sailed aboard her, and supported the project throughout all these years.

Today, we celebrate everyone who has become part of Shtandart’s story — those who have been there from the very beginning, and those who joined the journey along the way.
