The frigate “Shtandart” banned in many ports is anchored off Port Haliguen

Refused this summer in many sea festivals, as part of compliance with European measures, this Russian ship obtained exceptional authorization to refuel in Quiberon, without docking. Monitored by the authorities, the frigate that arrived Monday was still in Quiberon Bay Tuesday evening opposite Castero beach.

Built in 1999 by volunteers, the Russian frigate has been sailing the seas of Europe ever since. According to the website dedicated to this ship, “it is a living museum, on which hundreds of trainees of all ages have developed their sailing skills”.
