July 27th: what’s happening now

Due to being denied entry to Vigo’s port, we decided to anchor near Illa de Arousa island. The crew can go ashore to do laundry and replenish food supplies. Thanks to the friendly support of the local residents, who offered to help deliver water on their fishing boats, so we hope to solve the water supply issue.

Today, maritime authorities came on board to discuss Shtandart’s request for shelter. They spoke with the Captain, and he explained our situation and problems. We hope for permission to stay anchored until August 5th, when we can change the crew. According to our sailing plan, we will continue our journey on August 5th.
