The movie tells the story of the famous Balmis Expedition at the beginning of the 19th century, when a group of young boys accompanied Spanish doctors on a transatlantic voyage to deliver the smallpox vaccine to the New World.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"22 Angels (22 Angeles) (2016) | trailer\" width=\"1170\" height=\"658\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RUENmRdRnCU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For the maritime sequences, the production turned to the&nbsp;Shtandart, a faithful replica of Tsar Peter the Great\u2019s flagship of 1703. With her wooden hull, full rigging, and authentic design, she convincingly recreated the look and atmosphere of an early 19th-century Spanish vessel.
