Dear Enthusiasts of Maritime Tradition,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are reaching out to you, the passionate community of sailing-ship lovers, to lend your voices in support of an iconic vessel under threat\u2014the training ship and floating museum Shtandart<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 24, 2024, the European Union\u2019s sanctions were expanded to include replica ships. This change, devastatingly, now targets the Shtandart simply because it was originally built in Russia. Despite the fact that this magnificent vessel is no longer under the Russian flag, it now faces severe restrictions. Ports that have welcomed the Shtandart for the past 15 years are being pressured to turn her away, threatening the very existence of this remarkable ship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Shtandart is more than just a ship. She is a living piece of maritime history, a faithful replica of the 18th-century frigate built by Peter the Great. Beyond her historical significance, she has served as a beacon of unity, promoting peace, understanding, and cultural exchange between nations. Her mission has always been to build bridges between people, transcending politics and borders, and fostering goodwill among ordinary individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, the Shtandart is stranded at sea, with no safe harbor. Her crew\u2014dedicated volunteers who have tirelessly worked to preserve and operate her\u2014face an uncertain and perilous future. This is not just about a ship; it is about the survival of a cherished tradition and a message of hope and humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We need your support. Please help us by addressing a heartfelt appeal to the members of the European Commission. Urge them to reconsider this amendment to the sanctions, which unintentionally threatens a ship that embodies friendship, education, and shared history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
